From 1950s classics like War of the Worlds to drone sightings in New Jersey, to the US government almost admitting, "We’re not alone," our fascination with the unknown has endured. With a galaxy of 100 billion stars, and countless more beyond, it's logical to believe that life exists beyond our tiny blue planet. But if we were to make contact with these extraterrestrial beings, would they be friendly like E.T., or something out of our worst nightmares? In this space-themed issue, we explore the latter—much more fun.
